J. C. WILLIAMSON, LTD.

NEW MANAGER APPOINTED. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, December 5. Mr Harry P. Muller has been appointed general manager in New Zealand for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., in succession to the late Mr Bert Eoyle. Mr Muller belonged to Palmerston North some years ago, and whilst there he divided his attention between studying law and the theatre management. Ultimately he decided to abandon the law to become manager of the old Theatre Royal in Palmerston North. His acumen in that business soon brought him into notice, and Messrs John Euller and Sons offered him preferment. This led eventually to his appointment as manager in Melbourne for that firm. joined Mr Harry Musgrove when that manager took over the Australian Tivoli circuit of vaudeville theatres. These were later taken over by J. C. Williamson, Ltd., who appointed Mr Muller their representative in San Francisco, where he has been located for the last five years. With the decline of vaudeville in Australia, Mr Muller’s services were no longer required in San Francisco, so he was brought back to the land of his birth to undertake the important duties of J. C. Williamson’s chief representative in New Zealand. Mr Muller is expected to return to Wellington from Sydney next week. Mrs Muller is at present residing with her sister (Miss Cope) at Lyall Bay.
