THE NORWICH CITY. VESSELS ARRIVE AT SCENE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) WELLINGTON, December 4. The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following advice* concerning the Norwich City:—“The Trongate and the Lincoln Ellsworth arrived at Gardner Island at 7 this morning. The crew were sighted on the beach. The vessel is probably a total loss.’*’ , RESCUE WORK PROCEEDING. ELEVEN OF CREW DROWNED. (Per United Pkess Association.) WELLINGTON, December 4. The Secretary of the General Post Office, Wellington, has received the following message from the superintendent of the Apia radio:— “Trongate reports having rescued three men; 21 remain on Gardner Island; 11 were drowned when the vessel struck, including six Arab firemen: very heavy seas; doing utmost to rescue remainder.”
