The Ministry of .Labour states that it is estimated that on October 21 there were approximately 10,229,300 insured persons, aged 16, to 64, in employment in Great Britain. This was 48,700 fewer than a month before, but 260,100 more than a year before. On November 4 there were 1,252,000 unemployed. This was 17,612 more than a week before, but 97,776 fewer than a year before.
