BRITISH SUBJECTS IN CHINA. TOTAL PAYMENTS LIMITED. (British Official Wireless.), (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) RUGBY, November 13, The National Government of China has agreed to place the sum of 68,000 dollars (or about £6500) at the disposal of two commissioners, one to be appointed by the British Government and one by • the Chinese Government, who will jointly scrutinise the outstanding claims for losses by British subjects at Chinkiang in 1921, when the British concession was over-run by Chinese troops. Claims are to be limited to direct losses by British subjects, and the total payments are not to exceed 68,000 dollars.
