MOSCOW, November IS.The press does not mention Sir Esmond Ovey’s appointment as Ambassador, at which disappointment 'is expressed in Soviet official circles, because he is a .traditional diplomat- instead of someone in closer personal touch with the Labour movement The opinion is expressed that Sir Esmond Oveys regime will not assist trade developments, which will continue in favour of the United States. It is revealed that the name of the proposed Russian Ambassador was sent to London some days ago to ascertain if he was persona grata.
