SMALL BOOKMAKER FINED. (Peb United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, November 13. Martin Joseph O’Connor, aged 32, an agent, was fined £25 in the Police Court on a charge of keeping a common gaming house in the Union Buildings, Customs street. The police said the accused had evidently been carrying on the business of a bookmaker in a small way for some time. Betting material was found in his room, and bo was in possession of £ls when arrested. Two men were each fined £2 for being found unlawfully on the promises occupied by O’Connor.
