REDUCTION in finishing CHARGES. EFFORTS AT SETTLEMENT. (United Press' Association.) . (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 3. (Received August 4, at 5.5 p.m.) The, cotton, spinners have initiated a movement to secure a general reduction in the finishing charges. They will ‘approach the bleaching dyeing, printing, and packing sides of the industry, for this purpose. _ The new turn of affairs meets - the complaint of the qperatives who object to. the reduction of wages being ' regarded; as the > sole means of lowering, the costs of production.—Australian Press Association./
