(Eeceived April 26, at 8.22 p.m.) A secret conference is being held at Kremlin at which the Communist leaders are discussing a five-year plan for the industrialisation of Russia. The press is publishing a summary daily. ,M. Eykoff and others painted glowing pictures of how the Soviet Union would not only reach but surpass the economic level of capitalistic countries. M. Eykoff pointed out that the plan calls for a 20 per cent, growth of industrialisation yearly. Such a growth is without precedent even'in the United States, which during, the most intensive periods of development, increased only 8 per cent. M. Kirjanovski, head of the. State Planning Organisation, outlined the projects for railways and canals to link up the sources of food and fuel with industrial centres.—Australian Press Association.
