DANISH ELECTIONS
A SOCIALIST VICTORY. DISARMAMENT AS AN ISSUE. (United Press Association.) . (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) COPENHAGEN, April 26. , (Received Apr® 20, at 8.22 p.m.) While the Great Powers are arguing about disarmament Denmark made it an election issue upon which the Socialists, in combination with the Radical Liberal Party, secured 77 seats, all the other parties together gaining 08. The Prime Minister '{M. Madsen Mygdal) accordingly tendered his resignation. It seems certain that the King will ask the Socialist leader (M. Stauning) to form a Cabinet, after which the Socialists will introduce a Bill transformin’ l ' the army into a police force and the navy into coastguards. This the Senate is practically certain *to reject. The Socialists will then use administrative means to reduce expenditure on armaments to the minimum.—Australian Press Association.
