WAR DEBTS
PAYMENTS TO AMERICA. STATEMENT IN COMMONS. (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGBY, April 23. The Chancellor of the Exchequer stated in the House of Commons to-day that the total amount paid to America on account of the British debt -to date was £240,(500,000, and the total amount received by this country from the former Allies in the Great War was £33,700,000.
