(From Oub Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, April 24. FOOTBALL. The 1920 Rugby football season was opened on Saturday, and conditions generally for football were ideal. At Palmerston the local team met Dunback, and, although it was the first match of the season, the game turned out to be one of the beat seen here for a long time. Dunback turned out the winners by 5 points to 3. Roberts scored the try for Dunback, Barber converting. For Palmerston Quinn kicked ‘a penalty goal. At Seacliff Waikouajti met and defeated the homo team by 14 points to , FIXTURES. April 27.—Palmerston v. Waibouaiti, at Waikouaiti; Dunback v, Seacliff, at Dunback.
