Colts Commenced a - match against ’ Canterbury Colts at Lancaster Park to-day. The wicket was tricky as a result of the early movning rain; and the outfield was slow. Auckland made 141 for ‘ seven wickets (Langndge 26, Monteith 20, Butler 19, Bush 34). Bscott took' three wickets for 12 runs, and Rix three for 36. THE PLUNKET SHIELD. AUCKLAND v. WELLINGTON. Considerable discussion took place at . to-night’s meeting of the Wellington Cricket Management Committee on the trouble caused by players notifying at the last moment that they were unable to take part in representative matches,' Individual cases were gone.into, and eventually Mr D. MKenzie moved—“ That the selector be informed that R. C„ H. Mackenzie and F. T. Badcock are not eligible for selection in the Wellington team to play against. Auckland for the Plunket Shield this month.” The motion was carried.
