An engineer has worked out a schema for a seven feet gauge electric railway linking up Loudon with Paris via a Channel tunnel. It would follow an entirely new route. Trains weighing 550 tone,' drawn by electric locomotives, would attain a maximum speed of 120 miles per hour, a. . an average of .92. They would complete the 253 miles journey in 165 min.
