Tha district engineer wrote aaking lor a sketch plan and particular* if the hospital electric light system, and the' information was. forwarded by the seoretary. Nurses M'Corabe and Willis forwarded their resignations.' , It was resolved to apply for two maternity nurses, and the engagement of a cook was left in the hands of the doctor and secretary. The doctor reported on. the staff reArrangements had been made for nursing assistance if required before the appointment of the new purses. A new copper was required for the washhouse. The number of patients under treatment at date of last return .was:— Sis- males and nine females. Nine and seven respectively had since been admitted, making the total treated 31. .-Jive males and 13 females had been discharged, and one female had died leaving under treatment 10 males and 2 females. The report: was reoeivd on the motion - of Messrs Hore and Field, and the secretary wat instructed to order a pew copper. The visiting committee reported on their visits to the hospital, and Mr Field advised the purchase of a hose for the;garden, and it. was decided to obtain one. Mr Hore pointed out some defects in the electric wires, and Mr Field undertook to engage a suitable man to assist the porter in getting them repaired. On the motion of Messrs Davis and W. Smith, Messrs Hore and James; Smith were' appointed the visiting committee for the next sis : months.
