HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
Another fine production of “Hit the Deck” was given at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, and met with the. full approval of tho audience. There are many attractive features in the bright, sparkling, musical comedy,, which goes with , a swing from start to finish. . The honours of the comedy easily fall to Miss Annie Croft, who has wonderful-, charm and a most pleasing personality. The leading male character is- in the capable hands of Mr Reginald' Sharland, who has an excellent conception,of the part of Bill Smith, the. sailorman with whom. Loolob (Miss Cfoft) is in love, and the chief funmakers are Gus BluetE and tea Franklyn, who provide many diverting interludes. . Miss May . Beatty, as Magnolia, the coloured servant of : Looloo; gained another outstanding - success in her singing, with the chorus, of “ Hallelujah,” and ior that matter all the chorusejs were splendidly rendered. * .The comedy is: beautifully staged, and the costuming is'on a lavish scale.
“Hit the Deck”, will b'e staged at a matinee to-day, and the company will make its final appearance at night.
