RED CROSS SOCIETY GARDEN FETE.
A garden fete will be held at the Montecilio Home grounds this afternoon, commencing at 2 p.m. The function will he officially opened by Mr H. L. Paterson, president of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers' Association. - The fete has been organised by'the Red Cross Society in order that soldier patients might Have an opportunity of disposing of samples of their handiwork. ' .Patrons will find stalls well stocked with leather, basket, and other work, in dainty • designs, and aU highly suitable for Christmas gifts. It should he ’ known that profits from sales are,for the men alone; no institution participates, A programme of sparkling music will be provided by the JBand of the Ist Battalion, afternoon tea mid ice cream will be available. Buses will rim from High street from 2 p.m.
