A successful trial tnp was made on the Clyde. Four Diesel engines drive the dynamos generating the electricity which drives the motors geared to the propellers. The ship steers herself automatically. Her performance will be closely watched throughout the world in view of the equipment of future passenger vessels on the Diesel electric principle. —United Service.
