RUGBY, August 29. Sir Eric Geddee, chairman, and the other directors of Imperial Airways, are to-day making a trial trip from Southampton to the Channel Islands and back in one of the latest Calcutta type of flying boats which the company has just taken over from the Air Minister for use on the Empire air line in India. These craft each accommodate 15 passengers as well as a pilot, a wireless operator, and a steward, and have three air-cooled engines, developing 1500 horsepower.
