FIRE ON WHALING LAUNCH.

VESSEL TOTALLY,DESTROYED. MEMBERS OF CREW SAVED. (Pee United Press Association.) BLENHEIM, July 2. A whaling launch, Miss Liberty, owned by the J. A. Perano whaling party in Tory Channel, took fire while chasing a whale in Cook Strait on Saturday. A tow line was attached, and the vessel was brought into the channel, but the line burnt through. The launch was completely destroyed, but the members of the crqjv were all saved. Miss Liberty was one of the fastest crafts in New Zealand waters*
