OTAGO RUGBY LEAGUE.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The weekly meeting of the executive of the Otago Rugby Football League was held last night. The president {Mr T. M. Gillies) occupied the chair. Dr Reid wrote accepting appointment as medical officer for the league. It was decided that the Otago team should leave Dunedin on August 2S. The team will meet Builer on September 1, the Inangahua Sub-centre at Reefton on September 2, and the West Coast oa September 5. The secretary of the Auckland Rugby League wrote suggesting chat the -match between Otago and Auckland should l»e played before the former met South Island.—lt was decided to endeavour to re-arrange the tour, playing Wellington on September 12, Auckland on September 15, and South Auckland on September 19. The selection of July 14 as the date for a match between a Canterbury-Otago team and a Buller-Wcst Coast team preparatory to the inter-island match at Auckland on July 28 was confirmed. An application by J. Scoles for a transfer from the City Club to the Christian Brothers Club was granted, subject to the applicant being financial with the former club. It was decided to forward to the Canterbury League an expression of regret regarding the method adopted by it in connection with the selection of the team to represent Otago and Canterbury against Builer and the West Coast in Christchurch on July 14. In the course of the discussion it was stated that the visit of Mr Worrall last Saturday came as a surprise to the players, and also that the Otago selector had bad no opportunity of seeing the Canterbury players in action. It was decided to send Mr Watson to Christchurch with the Otago players for the match on the 14th inst. to enable him to take part in the selection of the South Island team. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The following is the draw for Saturday’s matches:— First Grade.—Kaikorai v. Christian Brothers, Caledonian ground, 2.45 p.nu (referee, Mr E. Watson); Citv v. Athletic A, Oval, 2.45 j..m. (Mr T.
