Users of push bicyles in the British Isles are now estimated to number 6,000,000. The consumption of tin has increased enormously with the popularity of silk and artificial silk. Ten years ago British silk companies were using 800 tons of tin a year. Now they are using 8000 tons —for weighting and dyeing purposes.
