The broadcasting of church services was warmly praised by Bishop WestWatson in the course of an address on Sunday evening at St. James’s Church, Lower Riccarton. “ There are people today who say that they can worship God as well in the open air and at their homes as at the churches,” said his Lordship. “ This is due to the great development of the air in respect to radio. Thank God for the broadcasting of church services. It is a wonderful thing. People who are not able to get to the churches can now listen in to the worship of our Lord. Invalids in their homes, sailors at sea, men in various other circumstances now can hear the voice of God by means of wireless."
