BOWLING.

DUNEDIN CENTRE. Tho executive of the Dunedin Bowling Centre met last night. Mr A. J. Sullivan presided. Accounts amounting to £ll6 were passeo. for pavment. The. "Secretary reported that the receipts for tho Easter tournament were £206, and the expenditure approximately £ll3. A profit of about £9O could be expected. The Chairman stated that up to the present no special conditions had been laid down for the Adess Shield rink competition. A copy of suggested rules would be circulated among members and could be considered at tho next meeting. Tho. Secretary reported that the sum of £4 had. been contributed by • visitors to the various greens towards the cost of catering at the Easter tournament. Votes of thanks, to clubs, club secretaries, umpires, greenkeepers, and ladies, who had assisted at the Easter tournament, were passed. Air W. Connor suggested that players in interpiovincial games and matches against visiting teams should each be asked to contribute 2s 6d towards the heavy cost of entertainment. —Mr D. C. Cameron: Why not charge the public for for'admissi'on to the greens?—Mr Connor's suggestion was adopted. FORESTERS AT PLAY. A friendly game of bowls between representatives of Courts Pride of the Leith and Little John took place on Saturday afternoon on the Kaikorai green. Although conditions were not altogether pleasant for playing, keen interest was shown in the contest. At the conclusion of the game P.D.C.R. Bro. W. Sinclair, on behalf of Court Little John, expressed the pleasure of his court on meeting Court Pride of the Leith in friendly rivalry, and thanked the Kaikorai Bowling Club for the use of its green, and also the sisters from Court Little John who kindly provided afternoon tea. P.D.C.R. Bro. J. Hope, on behalf of Court Pride of the Leith. returned thanks to Court Little John for the pleasant afternoon, and expressed the desire that this event would become an annual one between the two courts. The rinks were as follow (Court Little John names first): — Bros. L. M'Kenzie, A. Morrison, J. Walker, W. Webster 23, Bros. W. B. An. derson, J. K. Macfie, P. Gray, J. Abbott 18; J. Stoddart, S. Edwards, J. Haig, J. A. Armit 28, Bros. A. Orr, J. Hope, G. Edwards, F. W. Farrell 9, Bros. B. Ufton, J. Spters, H. Morrison, A. M'Kenzie, 23; Bros. P. Findlay, J. M'Connell, F. Boyland, D. Smyth. 25. Victory rested with Court Little John, the total scores being: Court Little John 74, and Court Pride of the Leith 51.
