PLUMBERS’ PICNIC.
The plumbers’ picnic was held in pleasant weather conditions at Lvansdale. A gratifying feature of the outing was the large attendance of the employees and their families. During the afternoon Mr \V. Jenkins presented the prizes to the plumbing students of the King Edward Technical College. The results off the various events were as follows :—- Apprentices’ Race (first to second year). —Middlemas 1, Stott 2, White 3. A. and T. Burt’s Handicap. —A. Hav 1, Stott, Middlcmass, and White (dead heat) 2. . Methven Distributors’ Handicap.—Tyler 1, Broadley 2, Foley 3. Plumbers’ Wives Race.—Mrs D. Ross 1, Mrs R. H. Freeman 2, Mrs F. G. Ferguson 3. Single Ladies’ Race.—Miss Griffon 1, Miss °R. Griffen 2, Miss R. Kidd 3. Married Ladies’ Race.—Mrs Griffen 1, Mrs Adams 2, Mrs Anderson 3. Master Plumbers’ Race.—Mr W. Jenkins 1, Mr T. Knox 2. Plumbers’ Cup.—D. Campbell 1, S. White 2. Leap Year Elopement Race. —Mrs Applegate and Mr Jelly 1, Miss Nicholson and Mr Blagdon 2. Leap Year Luckv Spot Waltz.—Miss Haig and Mr Goodfellnw 1.
