EVENING SPORTS MEETING.

This afternoon J. Standen and D. Gray, the Australian Olympic cycling representatives, will arrive in Dunedin to take part in the cycling and athletic fixture which |s to be held at the Caledonian Ground on Wednesday night. Standen is one of tho greatest cyclists Australia has ever produced. Gray is also a champion of renown. Both have met with remarkable success since their arrival in the Dominion. S. Bremford (Otago champion), C M. Nicholson (an ex-Otago champion), W Hodge, E. Palmer, P. Traill and others will be -pposed to the Australians, and in particular the scratch race should hfl very exciting. Running events are included on the programme.
