FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA. ARRIVAL AT SINGAPORE. fPreag Association— By Telegraph—Copyright) RANGOON, February 17. The Royal Air Force super-marine flying boats journeying to Australia have reached Penang. They will reach Singapore to-day, and will be the first ’planes to use the Singapore Air Base. A labour force of 1500 has been making rapid progress in the past eight piontha, and 600 acres of jungle have been cleared. The steel work is arriving shortly, and the construction of two hangars and a landing ground of 200 acres is expected to be finished in 12 months. A concrete seaplane slipway will shortly be completed. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
