GIANTS OF THE PAST.

Men of modern stature are too small to wear the ancient armour which was worn at the Scottish historical pageant at Craig Nullar Castle recently. It was' found necessary to resort to theatrical properties and Great Britain was scoured for a sufficient number of these. Swords used in the times of James IV of Scotland can hardly be lifted above the head of any modern man. They used to be swung about with deadly results with one hand. On the other hand, the officials of the armoury of the Tower of London say there is hardly a suit of armour in the tower which is big enough for the average man of to-day.
