(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 24. A world's record make shark, weighing 6301 b, was caught to-day off Cape Brett by Jjord Grintborpe, of Leeds. PAHIATUA, January 24. A circus employee, Charles William M'Fedries, was charged before justices of the peace to-day with using obscene language and with wilfully pushing a Mqori through a plate-glass window in Judd’s billiard saloon. He was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment on the fast charge and fined £ 5, in default one month on the second. CHRISTCHURCH, January 24. Herbert Barrington, aged 19 ' to-dnv pleaded guilty to six charges of breaking entering, and theft, and was committed for sentence. The evidence showed that the accused slept in the Brighton sandhills tor several nights. He had in his possession a toy revolver, a miniature jemmy, and two keys.
