THORNDALE WINS CHIEF EVENT. (Peb United Press Association.) HOKITIKA, December 27. The Westland Racing Club’s meeting was concluded in fine weather. The course was hard and fast. The attendance was • fair. The totalisator handled £7222 10s for the day, compared with £8334 last year, and the total for the meeting was £15,401 10s, compared with £17,832 last year. The totalisator handled £9993 10s for the day, as compared with £8998 10s for the second day last year, and £20,088 10s for the meeting, as compared with £18,262 10s last year, an increase of £1825.
