THEFT FROM POST OFFICE.

COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. (Pee United Press Association.) FEILDING, December 23. , Pleading guilty to charges of stealing a cheque for £ll 14s 8d from the Post Office at Halcombe. and forging and acting on it, Hikapaumu Parata, formerly of Halcombe and now of Watafa, was committed at the Supreme Court for sentence. Parata was a postal officer at Halcombe, where he stole a letter and endorsed a, cheque and cashed it.
