(Received Dec. 13, at 10 p.m.) Mr Clifford Hawley, president of the First National Pictures, announced to-day the combination of the British motion picture enterprises controlled by Lord Ashfield and Lord Beaverbrook in England with the British subsidiaries of the First National and Stanley Company in America, for the production, distribution, and exhibition of films throughout the United Kingdom. The combined assets are said to exceed 150,000,000 dollars. The new company plans a moving picture theatre in London’s West End, with seating capacity for 5000.
