WEDDINGS IN ENGLAND.

(Fboh Odr Own Correspondent. 1 LONDON, August 5. On July 28 tho marriage took place at Bourton-ou-tho-Water of Captain Alan John Gee, AI.C., R.A., son of the late Air and Mrs G. F. Goo, of Hartley Wintney, Hants, (formerly of Wellington), to Ethel Vera, only daughter of tho Rev. Canon W. E. White and Airs White, Bourton-on-the-Water. Glos. Biofessor Hugh Stewart, who was appointed to tho Chair of Latin at Leeds University from the University of Now Zealand, was married on July 28 to Miss Peggy Poulton, only daughter of Mr and Airs J. A. Poulton, of Christchurch. Tho ceremony, which took place at Kinlet, Shropshire, was performed by the Rev. Lawrence Hard (lato of .Shirley, Christchurch). Air J. F Poulton (uncle) gave away the bride, who wore a soft gown of ivory georgette with silver embroideries. Sprays of orange blossom hold in placo tho voluminous tulle veil, and a bouquet cf lilies-of-the-vallev was carried. At the conclusion of the service the bridal party and guests adjourned to Uio rectory, where they wore entertained by Air and Airs J. F. Poulton. Among those present were Airs Johnston (Lecd.-), Airs Williams (Harnogo Grange), Aliss Alayne (Wimhonie), Mr and Miss Turrcll (Christchurch), tho Rev. L. Hard and Airs Hard. Subsequently the bridegroom and bride left for Scotland, tho latter wearing a smart threepiece costume of crimson, with small hat to tone.
