SANDERS CUP.

THE NEXT CONTEST. (FRICTION IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Special to Daily Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 29.. The unsatisfactory condition of the Canterbury Yachting Association was given as a reason for the proposal to hold the next Sanders Cup contest at Stewart Island. At the annual meeting of the Christchurch Sailing and Power Boat Club to-night a motion to this effect, moved by Mr E. Smith and seconded by Mr R. G. Hampton, was carried, instructions were given to the delegates to the Yaching Association to support the proposal. It was also decided to request the Yachting Association to prepare a financial statement of the last Sanders Cup contest.
