Amery (Secretary of State for the Dominions), replying to a question, said that official communications between South Africa and Britain would be made from July 1 through officials instead of through the Governor-General. On the same date also Canada would adopt this change. The Imperial Conference’s decisions had been operating in the Free State since May I.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
