(Received May 1, at 5.5 p.m.) Teh Daily Mail states that the authorities are m possession ot evidence of a new Moscow plot to undermine the loyalty of the Civil servants. It takes the form of a documentary instrudction transmitted through the Berlin office of the Internationa] Miners Propaganda Committee. It urges the Civil servants, particularly those in the Post Office, to spy on their colleagues and superiors, to note Government correspondence and telephonic communications, to copy important suspicious documents, especially those in cypner, and to ascertain the storing place of registered and insured correspondence, mousy, cyphers, and secret documents. It also urges the formation of Communist “cells" in the postal, telegraphic, and wireless offices in Britain s large towns. —Sydney Sun Cable.

ACTIVITY IN PARIS. COMMUNIST ATTACK PLANNED. GRAVE PRESS ALLEGATIONS. LONDON, April 30. (Received May 1, at 5.5 p.m.) Six hundred bombs were amongst the haul of arms and ammunition obtained by the Paris police on their raids of the haunts of the Anarchists and Communists, mostly Spaiards and Italians, who are suspected of being the authors of Anarchist propaganda. Most of their funds are believed to have been obtained in the recent daring burglaries, including 160 safes. It is believed that the ringleaders escaped. Thi Daily Mail’s Paris correspondent says that serious Communist trouble is predicted on' May Day unless the fullest precautions are taken. The Figaro claims that it has secured an authentic copy of the Communist staff map of Paris, and states that the plans include a violent attack on the centre ol the city, where the Government offices and the Central Telegraph and Telephone Exchanges are situated. Others will concentrate on the suburbs, burning and pillaging the residential quarters. Lo Temps warns the Government that the Communists are preparing to occupy the factories and are endeavouring to pollute the army’s loyalty. The paper savs: “Moscow has declared ruthless war on our nation. Between Moscow and France it is a question of force.”—Sydney Sun Cable.

POLICE DENY REPORTS. PARIS, April 30. (ReceiveH May 1, at 5.5 p.m.) The police deny the reports of the discovery of an Italian and Spanish Communist plot. They state that a search for arms is being carried out in connection with the • recent Catalan plot.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
