PRINCESS THEATRE.

In the Midnight Frolics’ seventh programme, which is to be presented this evening, there is an abundance of amusement of tho lighter kind. This week’s programme will include several of the latest London laughter successes. This is duo to Messrs Edgley and Dawe being in close touch with alj the latest London productions. Among the several comedy items to be featured are the following;: — ‘The Toyshop’’ is a most frolicsome piece of humour. Clem Dawe and Les Unite, the funmakers, are two children, and their individual capers amongst the toys lead to many! diverting moments. In there is humour of an entirely different type, and Clem’s efforts in conjunction with Les White and Eric Edgley, to establish communication with various parts of the world are most ludicrous. “Rat Poison” finds Les White in one of his inimitable dame characterisations, and with the assistance of Dorothy White and Clem Dawe he ia responsible for a very clever sketch. The “Lie Indicator” is a most unusual playlet of the type that people are beginning to expect in each Frolic programme, and is most cleverly portrayed. “The Minstrel Parade,” full of zip and go, gives each member of the company his or her opportunity to display his or her many talents. The jazz band will be seen in a nautical selection with special lighting and scenic .effects. The “Shopping Parade” forms the conclusion to the programme, and in it most lavish dresses are worn. On the more serious side, complete new items will be rendered by Mr Oscar Beck, Mr Gregory Ivanoff, whose playing is one of the features of the various programmes, and the always popular Alec Regan will render fresh light comedy successes. Of the dancing Phyllis Amery will present “Tho Swan," a most artistic effort, and the Dick Dorothy trio will be seen in “Moon Moths,” a most pleasing item.
