ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR APRIL.

THE SUN. The Sun'* path during May will be in R.A. from 2.30.49 to 4.29.20, in north declination from 14.51.23 to 21.48.49, and in longitude from 40.6.58 to 69.2.11. THE MOON. The phases of the Moon will bo as follow : Now moon 2nd 0.10 a.m. First quarter ... 9th 2.67 a.m. Full moon ... 17th 6.33 a.m. Last quarter ... 24th 5.4 p.m. Now moon ... 51st 8.36 &.m. Apogee 13th 0.12 a.m. Perigee 28th 7.54 p.m. THE PLANETS. Mercury will bo in R.A. from 1.21.23 to 5.25.53, and in north declination from 6.2.4 to 25.4.47. It will be in superior conjunction with the sun on the 20th, and in conjunction with the moon on the 51st. Venus will bo in R.A. from 5.4.23 to 7,35.17, and in north declination from 24.33.24 to 24.6.22. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 4th. Mars will ho in R.A. from 6.37.18 to 7.54.45 and in north declination from 24.43.48 to 22.16.14. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the sth. Jupiter will he in R.A. from 23.38,55 to 23.53.42, and in south declination from 3.25.57 to 1.24.5. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 25th. Saturn will be in R.A. from 16.18.36 to 16.9.42, and in south declination from 19.17.28 to 18.55.13. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 17th, and will be in quadrature with the sun on the 26th. Uranus will ho in conjunction with the moon on the 26th. Neptune will l/o stationary on the 6th, and in conjunction with the moon on the 91 h.
