World-famous pictures have been stolen from the Art Gallery here. They are Rembrandt’s “‘Christ,’’ Titian’s “Ecce Homo,” Corro"io’s “Holy Family,” and Carlo Dolci’s ’’of. John.” The thieves cut out the principal parts of Rembrandt’s and Titian’s pictures from the frames. The pictures before the war were valued at £70,000, and they are now of considerably higher value.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
