MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the committee of the Otago A. and P. Society was held in the society’s board room at 11 a.m. yesterday, Mr George Black (president) occupying the chair. The Executive reported that a conference was held between representatives ot the Dunedin Jockey Club and the Forbury Park Trotting Club and the executive to consider the question of providing office accommodation for both clubs. After a very full discussion satisfactory arrangements were made in regard to the use of the board room, and the Forbury Park Trotting Club had agreed to the conditions imposed in regard to the lease of office accommodation. The executive expressed its appreciation of the assistance given by Messrs David Todd and E. H. Caldor, present tenants. On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr H. Turner, the executive report was adopted On the motion of Mr H. C. Campbell, the Finance Committee’s report recomending the payment of accounts amounting to £272 18s 4d was adopted. The Space Committee reported that about three-quarters of the wall space in Brydone Hall had been allocated, a few applications having been held over until exhibitors had been seen personally in regard to the position. The committee recommended that Fuller’s Hall be utilised for the display of fruit, and a portion of the Victoria Hall reserved for tho refreshment room. Iho committee also recommended that tho otter of an exhibitor from Hokitika of turnips, mangolds, carrots, etc., be accepted, and that arrangements bo made for their display. The committee had arranged with . Messrs Waters. Ritchie, and Co. to clear tho space required for the erection of the cattle pons. Cantrell, representing Dunedin; Wm Gardiner, representing Waihomo, and Thomas Scott, representing Milton, wore accepted with regret, and on the motion ot the chairman tho resolution was passed expressing the committee’s appreciation ot tne valuable services they had rendered to the S °The y ‘ Board of Agriculture submitted a report dealing with the question of the deteriation of wool.
