The fortnightly meeting of Enterprise Lodge was held in the Oddfellows’ flail, ■Kensington, on Wednesday, there being a fair attendance of members. Before the business of the evening was proceeded with the brethren rose in silence out of respect to their late brother George xMur- I ray. During the evening - the juvenile ' delegates explained the juvenile movement, | and after listening to it, the lodge de- ' cided to appoint an influential committee to consider and report on the best method ; of inaugurating a juvenile lodge in the ; district. Next lodge night a large muster is expected for the presentation of a P.D.P. collar to Bro. Harvey (Mistletoe) | and for the installation of I*.A. Bro. J. C. Maybee as D.P. of No. 2 district, 1 The visitors, who replied to the toast, were P.G.G. Bro. Reid, P.D.P. Bro. Faulds, and P.A. Bro. Smith. The Dunedin Meccano and Hobbies’ I Club held its first meeting in Burns Hall last night, and a good attendance resulted. The leader (Mr H. T. Griffiths) in an interesting talk outlined the objects and aims of the club, and briefly reviewed the work Tor the coniine winter session. At the leader’s invitation, Mr. C. 0. Bridgeman, of the Dunedin Radio Supplies, who is taking a keen interest in the club’s activities, was present, and hfs announcement that he would give a crystal set and six gramophone records for competition was enthusiastically re- \ ceivcd The Kaikorai branch of the Home Economics’ Association held its opening meeting for this season on Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs Bews, one of the members. Dr Emily Nees was the lec- j turer for the evening, and took as her subject the respiratory system and its diseases and treatments for the simpler ones.
