GUILTY OF BIGAMY

CAPTAIN ROBERTSON SENTENCED. (Free* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, February 11. (Received Feb. 11, at 10 p.m.) Captain Robertson was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment for bigamy. He was to have married the third girl tomorrow. Captain Robertson, who went to Sydney to arrange for a flight from Sydney to New Zealand, fell from a fourth floor window at the Aero Club on October 14, and when he arrived at the hospital for treatment on December 8 he was arrested on a charge of bigamy. At tbe trial one woman gave evidence, that she married Robertson in 1919, and another said that she married him in October, 1925. In each case witness said that she was seventeen years of age at the time of the marriage.
