The following is the weather report from the Waipiata Sanatorium for the month of January:— Mean maximum temperature, 72.6 h.; mean minimum temperature, 48.2; approximate mean temperature for the month, C 0.4; mean daily ranee of temperature, 24.4; extreme maximum temperature (on 27th and 28th), 82.4; extreme minimum temperature (on 14th). 34.8; extreme range of temperature for month, 47.6; total rainfall, 1.98 in; No. of days on which rain fell, 10; maximum rainfall in any 24 hours (on 22nd), 0.83 in; total sunshine, 235 hr 30min; maximum sunshine (on 3rd), 14hr; average sunshine per day, 7hr 36min.
