MAORI WAR VETERANS.
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. THE TOLL OF TJIE YEAR. (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ December 22. The annual meetin- of the Maori War Veterans’ Association was held to-day. The annual report states that 78 Maori. War pensioners died in the noriod October 1. 1925, to September 30, 1926. The total of pensioners now drawin- pension was 398 The present strength of the association was: T ranaki 49- Wanganui 8, Wellington 8, Hastings 12. Manawatip 6 • total. 74 The members decided that in future the annual meetings bo held at different centres, and New Plymouth was appointed the venue for the next nnnue.l meeting, the secretary of that branrh to be general secretary of the association.
