ESCAPE FROM COURT. SENTENCE ON RE-ARREST. (Peb United Peess Association.) AUCKLAND. December 22. Douglas George Weavers, aged 15 years, who escaped from the Children’s Court on Saturday morning, and who was rearested last evening, appeared in the Auckland Splice Court this morning charged with the theft of £4 10s. Evidence was given that Weavers first appeared in the Police Court, whore ha pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and theft, and was commits d to the Supreme Court for sentence. However, he had been sent to the Children’s Court, from which he escaped, and afterwards visited the city markets, where he stole a wallet from a coat. On the probation officers’ recommendation the magistrate sent Weavers to the Borstal Institute for a term not exceeding three years.
