THE BEAM SERVICES. TESTS PROCEEDING SATISFACTORILY. (Pre«« Association—By Telegraph-Copyright.) LONDON, December 8. (Received Dec. 9, at 8 p.m.) It is understood that the British Post Office is satisfied with the progress of the beam wireless tests and is unlikely to require an official test beyond those in progress at present. Last night the stations established touch, but it will be the week-end before the South African test is made- One wave-length will be used for the Australian service, compared with the alternative wave-lengths for the Canadian and South African services.—A. and N.Z.
