MISSING NOVELIST

MBS CHRISTIE’S DISAPPEARANCE. NO LIGHT ON THE MYSTERY. CPrw» A MOolatlOQ —By Telegraph—Oopynghi.. LONDON, December 8. (Received Dec. 9, at 9 p.m.) Mystery succeeds mystery in the search for Mrs Christie. The letter written by her and posted in London on Saturday after the discovery of the abandoned car on Friday evening changed the scene of operations to the London district. Nevertheless the search was continued on the Surrey Down's. The problem is difficult to answer. The weight of evidence suggests that Mrs Christie is wandering aimlessly. Her brother-in-law, to whom the letter was addressed, says that she mentioned that she proposed going away for the week-end. He is satisfied that she was normal at the time of writing.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
