A WIFE’S CLAIM.
ACTION AGAINST HUSBAND. ALLEGED LOAN OF MONEYS. (Special to Daily Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 6. A claim for £348 by a wife against her husband representing loans and advances alleged to have been made by the wife to the husband was made in the Supreme Court to-day before Mr Justice MacGregor. The parties were Catherine Marjorie Mac Kay. the plaintiff, and Arthur Charles Mac Kay, the defendant. The parties were married in September, 1925, and plaintiff obtained a separation order at Wellington on September 20, 1926. After a lengthy cross-examination of the plaintiff his Honor and counsel agreed that it would be useless to go further with the case at that time owing to the involved condition of the accounts. The whole matter was referred to the registrar to report to the court as to what amount, if any, was owed by defendant to plaintiff. Costs were reserved and also the liberty for either party to apply.
