NEW AMERICAN SCHEME. LONDON, November 22. It is stated that the Empire Films movement has caused eager competition among a number of syndicates, including American and Anglo-American groups, who are attempting to purchase kinemaa, and are offering fancy prices, especially for those with upwards of 2000 seating capacity. It is stated that for the purpose of safeguarding their film markets Americans now intend to produce pictures in British Columbia as well as at Hollywood.
