AMERICAN PROHIBITION
COST OF ENFORCEMENT
HUGE APPROPRIATION SOUGHT. (Frees Association— By Telegtaph—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, November 25. The Treasury Department has declared that Prohibition enforcement during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1927, Would cost over 33,000,000 dollars. The Assistant Secretary (Mr Lincoln Andrews) asked the House Appropriations Committee for 13,000,000 dollars for the Federal unit. • The coastguard unit wants 20,000,000 dollars. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
