For Northern Districts against Paddington Buckle scored 143. For Waverley against Marrickville Lewis scored 104. For Balmain against Marrickville a brilliant colt, Jackson, scored 158. Hooker captured seven wickets for 80. MELBOURNE, November 14. Playing for Fitzroy against University, Llddicutt made 132 not out. For Melbourne against South Melbourne Onyons scored 93 and Sandford 99. GOLF. BRUNTSFIELD MEDAL COMPETITION. The first round of the Bruntsfleld medal competition was played on the Balmacewen Links on Saturday afternoon. The conditions were not conducive to good scoring as heavy showers fell throughout the afternoon. The best round -was done by K. Ross 79, closely followed by G. F. Barnett with 80 and W. B. Reilly with 82. A medal handicap was played in conjunction with the first round, and W. B. Reilly proved the winner with a net score of 76. The leading net scores were:—W. B. Reilly 82—6—76 ; S.
